Processing of an access permit application


• Receipt of an application for an access permit,
• NEMA advertises in the Kenya Gazette and in a newspaper with nationwide circulation for public comments
• Wait for 21 days for public to issue comments
• NEMA consolidates all comments from the public
• Review application to validate meeting all requirements of Biodiversity Regulations
• If NEMA satisfied, it issues the access permit
• NEMA communicates its decision/refusal to the applicant in writing within sixty (60) days from date of application
