Access permit contents

Contents of an access permit


An access permit is a written authority issued by NEMA allowing a holder of the permit to access Genetic Resources and or associated knowledge. It is not transferable and is specific to the specific material applied for and the intended use. It contains the following information, among others:

a. The names and contacts of the person to whom rights of access have been granted.
b. The genetic resources to be accessed.
c. The geographical location where the genetic resources will be accessed.
d. Mandatory and other conditions to be observed by the holder of the access permit.
