What is the role of NEMA with regard to designation of laboratories where analyses for the purpose of EMCA are undertaken?


1. The Director-General designates the laboratories by Notice in the Gazette both analytical or reference laboratories for the purpose of EMCA.
2. NEMA indicates the specific functions of the laboratory.
3. NEMA prescribes local limits or subject matter which the laboratory shall serve.
4. NEMA prescribes the persons appointed as analysts in respect of that laboratory.
5. NEMA prescribes the form and manner in which samples will be taken for analysis.
