Environmental Inspector functions

What are the functions of an environmental inspector?

An environmental inspector shall—
(a) monitor compliance with the environmental standards established under EMCA 1999;
(b) monitor the activities of other sector-specific environmental inspectorates;
(c) monitor the pattern of use of environmental resources;
(d) conduct environmental audits;
(e) perform such other functions as may be required under EMCA 1999 or under the Gazette Notice appointing him/her.
