Roles of environmental inspectors in environmental audit
What are the roles played by environmental inspectors with regard to EA and monitoring based on EMCA Cap 387?
1. An environmental inspector may enter any land or premises for the purposes of determining how far the activities carried out on that land or premises conform with the statements made in the environmental impact assessment study report issued in respect of that land or those premises (EMCA Section 68.2)
2. May enter upon any land or premises for the purposes of monitoring the effects upon the environment of any activities carried on that land or premises (EMCA Section 69.2). Question
